West AHEC will coordinate housing arrangements for students completing clinical training in our region if needed. Housing accommodations may vary depending on location and availability. We have several housing options including furnished apartments, surgery student house or a family/housing host in a private home. All of our housing is arranged on a first come, first serve basis. The housing sites we offer do fall within the UK and UofL housing allotments.
Should you be completing a rotation in an area where we do not have an established housing site, our staff will work with you to find you affordable and safe housing. Brief descriptions of our housing accommodations follow:
Madisonville
- Furnished one bedroom apartment.
- Special housing has been designated for UofL medical students completing their junior surgery rotation. Students are housed together in a spacious five-bedroom home located on the hospital campus.
Henderson
Hopkinsville/Ft. Campbell
Greenville
Russellville
- Private home
- Hospital Room may be available
Owensboro
- Studio Apartment
- Private home
Princeton
Morganfield
